Place

In everyday conversation, the word place designates a portion of the physical world. “San Francisco is my favorite city”. The statement possibly refers to the physical place (streets, museums, parks) but mostly an idea of place. Because a place can define who we are. Everyone has a deep association with places they were born and grew up, where we live now, or where we have had experiences. Places remain with us like certain tastes and smells.
